Anatomy of a failure
Man was a creation meant to fail, especially if the criterion for success is set by other creation named human. The very dilemma of this creation was it never knew what success was. Some thought they would conquer the world and be successful and others thought accumulation of wealth would make them successful in the world, for eternity, but the fact remains that humans were made and then left in the wilderness of the universe, with its tiny brain it starts to discover life and it’s offerings and for a while the things that makes his heart happy is the things that make him successful.Therefore a boy starts to believe that the things that make him smile or happy will make him successful. But, just when this concept is in his grasp he is told by everyone that no way you have understood happiness or success the wrong way my boy. It is when you are on this path, strife this road my boy and not the one’s you originally thought and there you shall find success.
Then starts the confusion, the destruction of one’s soul to start thinking that success lays in the goals that other creatures decide and after a certain amount of reluctance man believes that: it is the truth that has been told all along and after a while comes the point where man is about to have his education completed and upon its completion you get that smile that everyone will tell you exists and is the one you want so you smile and feel successful but the feeling fades away. A man asks himself really? Was being successful was this simple and then by slight confrontation he realizes that this is not what makes him successful. I need a job, a car, a bungalow, a table set that defines me, a set of lights after a few years you get almost everything if you are a bit content otherwise people may spend their entire life acquiring these material possessions which are really mirages of self definition. More or less the whole concept of defining yourself by the things you own, drops out and that feeling of being unsuccessful starts to come back.
Then one day you get a call from your parents telling you beta we are proud of you but when do you think you want to get married. Well there drops in a new success factor to achieve, and you are like “yeah this is what I want now to share my life with someone”. “Let’s get married” and for a moment man is once again the king of the world he thinks he is successful finally everything said was true. So after a year or two you are blessed with kids and think: "boy I am going to take care of them and make them successful by lying out the road plan which made me successful, everything is going to be fine now".
But reality has more tricks to play , Incomes a bullet that hits you right between your eyes and gives you no time to make yourself getaway from harms way and that feeling of successfulness and the sense of security in life is snatched from you in such a way that you think:"why was I feeling safe again?" But every one tells you it happens to everyone; everybody’s loved one’s die. Well sure it does, but where were you when it didn’t happen you could have at least warned me that this might have happened to me. The same people that say “that don’t say such a thing are suddenly all reality acceptors and saying well this happens”. How can a man accept it in a flash that people who guided their lives through out have gone they were the light bearers they showed the way to success now with them gone I’ve no one that recognizes my success in reality: because no one was there with me when I struggled for the place I have reached. The factors I have achieved.
So, then whether the creature under consideration likes it or not everyone around him that taught him what success was vanishes and then is the actual climax of life the biggest reality of them all, The knife that is going to cut you like it has never cut before, the knife’s name is self evaluation. You analyze your life with your own eyes. You see your kids, how they have started to look straight into your eyes and tell you “Dad/ Mom you are so wrong about us, we are so more intelligent then you ever were”. It is the same creature that you held in your arms and got the feeling “I am a Father/ Mother, Isn’t it amazing” and the same person is doing this to you. You would probably say that:" I never did that to my parents but you did you might not remember it but you did, ask them if you can now". Each generation does this to the older generation. Now all the things that you have acquired over the last years gradually lose its satisfaction and the feeling of fulfillment dies from the things you own the spouse/s you have everything has no fun in it anymore no feeling of success in anything.
You think what is wrong with me I have got everything the car, the house, the spouse but why am I not contented. Is there more to achieve, but I can’t do the hard work anymore. Wait! Does that mean that I am a failure? There you have it the first time you get introduced to the feeling that after achieving everything you still were a failure and the word grows on you and you start looking to quench it by doing stuff that would not make you look failure in other’s eyes and above all in your own eyes. But it’s too late the path you choose was the one that had failure written all over it but there was no one at that time to tell you this. You had to be successful like the people told, so by hook or by crook you did it and now it is all coming back to you. The deeds of the past haunt you. The paper you cheated in, the lie you told, the employee you bad mouthed about because of which he lost his job and you got in a higher one. The realization is true you are a failure and always will be as long as the success factor are provided by the creature it self. So how do we decide who is successful and who is not? Answer: simple, we don’t and neither can we decide.
Human made success criteria is more like a legacy than a fact and we carry it like a disease in our blood and pass it on to the next generation to follow and by the time we know that nothing that we achieved can be counted in being successful the disease has spread into the younger generation with such a force that even if you try to cure it, it will spread even more quickly because you are new to the concept of rejecting it but the legacy has been carried out for many years so you end up taking your stories to the grave.So the end of this story is pretty much repetitive and no one really discusses this because no one wants to accept in front of the others that he is a failure.
So, what is the solution? Where is this success that we all are seeking so desperately that we believe what ever we are told about it? But the one sole reality that there is about success is so blurred and diminished that even if it is told everyday, day in and day out even by calling it by it’s specific name, that is “ SUCCESS” the creature would reject it by turning away from it like it was nothing and no truth lies there. Yes, it is the very familiar word that we living in a Muslim country hear five times a day. The word of Arabic the language God choose to speak to us in out of the million of languages of the world that existed and are yet to exist.
“FALAH” meaning “Success”. Everyday God the creator of this confused creature calls us to the success by the words.
Hiya Al Al Falah Meaning “Come to Success”
A welcome by God himself that come creature come I’ll show you what success is, where does it lie. Success of life and the death and it is when you have faith in him that you realize that it is in fact the creator who judges the failure of the creature and it is he who decides the success not the creature himself or any other creature which is on the same hierarchical level i.e someone who is created as compared to an entity which is the creator.
So we have no right calling a man a failure as this is the right of God and he alone will decide that who is a successful being and who is not. It is great evil evaluating a man on the possessions he is carrying and creates the foundation of all materialistic thought. This has brought nothing but disasters on earth as the world has seen two of the greatest wars which were purely based on materialistic thought in the 19th century and numerous others in the previous centuries.The imperialistic greed which took over the world for centuries is purely materialistic in nature.
Hence, salvation for this creature lies in activating the love which is in a dormant state for the creator which according to accounts by the last prophet (P.B.U.H), loves us more than the love of seventy mothers. The successful one will be the one who is able to activate that love for his creator who he hasn’t seen or smelled or felt from any of the five limited senses allocated to humans. Well most of us has trouble over grasping this concept as it is new and very much based on faith, something no one can see or hold in his hand so because of our legacy which teaches us that success is something that can be counted or seen like for example: a degree in your hand, a suite case full of money . Therefore a man with all the faith on God is by our standards a total failure because he cannot show his faith on paper, but in reality he has something that none of us have: that is the feeling of God as his friend and care taker.
Thus, when he eats or sleeps he is never worried about the next meal or day as he knows that his friend is already there to help him and that people, is the real success: knowing that the entity who has provided everything to man is right there besides him and anything that is taken back can be provided again because the creator knows best how to make it’s creature happy. So let us all bow down in front of that supreme lord and ask for his acquaintance to be truly successful and follow the path of glory.......
